This is a block of stabilized Philippine Mahogany. This wood has a nice chatoyance and golden color. I just had one of these blocks stabilized to see how it turned out, and I'm happy with it. It's a reasonably priced exotic wood for that special project you have. Look for more of this stuff in the future.
